![]() I think basic legendary practices shouldnt give that much exp, maybe its reasonable to give 40 exp for most recent lessons, but definitely not for the first ones. Idk, i think current exp system is very bad and actually enforces bad learning practices(if you can even call this practice). Its especially hard for me, because im already relatively deep into the course and usually get lessons with 8-11 chapters, with a lot of words i have to write down in the notebook. Its his 45th week in diamond league, he has #1 achivement and he still pushes some unreasonable amount of exp through this silly method. So far in last two weeks he got 200 exp in his italian course from actual lessons and 6000(!) exp from japanise hard practice in basic lessons. And he gets it during the same routine - he just spams legendary hard practice in a couple of first japanese basic levels. To solve that issue, Duolingo gave it an engaging spin, by introducing a league system. Problem is not in leagues, but rather in ways people grind exp, without learning anything.
